Description: The Haloxylon persicum in Abu Dhabi, found between Madinat Zayed and Wathba in the north, east, south, and central areas, has been given Critical Habitat status. This sandy desert habitat features low dunes (<20m) and dense dwarf shrubs such as Zygophyllum qatarense, Haloxylon salicornicum, and Siedlitzia rosmarinus, along with Leptadenia, Calotropis, and Haloxylon persicum (Ghada) shrubs.
