Description: Coral reefs in Abu Dhabi are critical marine habitats mainly in shallow waters near islands like Abu Al Abyadh, Bu Tinah, and Al Yasat. They face stress from high salinity and temperature. Key species include Porites and Acropora corals. Reefs support fish and endangered Hawksbill turtles. Sadly, less than half still contain live coral.
