Description: Macroalgae communitiesStatus: Environmentally sensitive within Abu Dhabi emirate.Location: Found along Abu Dhabi’s coastline and islands, from the Saudi to Dubai borders.Description: Thirty macroalgae species occur alone or with seagrass and reef habitats, with over 10% cover of rooted vascular seaweed. Brown algae (Phaeophyceae) are most common.
