Undulating sandy deserts with dunes under 20 metres high and over 1% tree cover exist. The only tree species is Ghaf Prosopis cineraria. Other plants like Zygophyllum qatarense, Calligonum comosun, Leptadenia pyrotechnica, Cyperus conglomeratus, Dipterygium glaucum, Limeum arabicum are likely present. Breeding birds such as Collared Dove, Greater Hoopoe-lark, Crested Lark and Southern Grey Shrike are found.
