The Gargoor, a dome-shaped wire fish trap, is utilized in Abu Dhabi Emirate. It features a funnel-shaped entry and an exit for smaller fish, and is baited with bread and dried sardine, left underwater for 1-2 weeks. In 2003, lansh boat fishermen were restricted to 125 gargoors per boat, while tarad fishermen were prohibited. Data from 2010-2012, collected from fishermen interviews about fishing locations, was logged in the NFIS using an 18x18 km marine grid, pinpointing Gargoor fishing areas. The IDW tool determined the spatial distribution, classified into eight Jenks natural break classes, excluding values below 0.05.
