Description: Evaluation of salinity in the top 0–50 cm and 50–100 cm soil horizons was based on soil electrical conductivity (EC), indicating the concentration of soluble salts. High salt levels, like sodium chloride and sulfate, can hinder water uptake and nutrient absorption. EC values (1:1) were measured and averaged by horizon thickness, then converted to ECe by multiplying by 3.
